Rain & Spiderwebs

What’s the weather like in Scotland?

It’s summer and it’s raining – constantly –  but sometimes it allows us to see amazing achievements…

I captured this one morning before work during a break from the rain. How much work and effort must go into creating this? All that zigging and zagging must take so much skill.

I must admit I’m glad the rain enables us to see them as I usually end up walking into these webs and end up with it all over my face. Not good for me and worse for the poor spider whose work has been ruined.

Take a look at some of my other photos on Flickr.

  1. I have a spider that lives on my clothes line. I go out, destroy it time after time, and it still rebuilds in a day. I shudder every time I touch it. And it still comes back. It is foggy this morning and I need to go out to hang up the washing – sigh. At least I might be able to see it this morning. Or even take photos of it – again.

  2. Do you mind if I quote a few of your posts as long as I provide credit and
sources back to your website? My website is in the exact same niche as yours
and my visitors would really benefit from a lot of the information you present here.

Please let me know if this ok with you. Thanks a lot!

  3. It is quite amazing to see how quickly spiders can build/rebuild a web. I saw one between two garbage cans a few days ago, and in relation it would seem like miles for us to walk to build a similar web (were we so equipped). Nice capture!
